Cambrian Rally 2025 - History Written in the Welsh Forests
The 2025 Cambrian Rally, the final round of the Probikekit British Rally Championship, produced a result that will be remembered for some time. Max McRae and co-driver Cameron Fair claimed victory on the North Wales gravel stages of Brenig, Clocaenog and Alwen. McRae's first ever BRC event win, and the first by a McRae in the championship for 27 years, following his father Alister's 1998 win. It was a tense affair, with a mid-event puncture and relentless pressure from Romet Jürgenson and Siim Oja pushing the battle to the final stage. Meanwhile, William Creighton and Liam Regan drove a composed, tactical rally to secure the 2025 BRC title in fourth place. Kyle McBride and Darragh Mullen sealed the Junior BRC title, and Rob Cotton took National Rally honours. The event also marked 70 years of organising motorsport for North Wales Car Club, a fitting milestone for a rally that delivered drama, champions and history in equal measure.
