The 2026 BTCC pre-season test at Croft Circuit produced two days of compelling action as teams prepared for the new campaign. WSR's Daryl De Leon set the headline on Wednesday, posting a 1:20.417s lap to break the outright circuit record and edge under Tom Ingram's existing benchmark by the finest of margins. Ingram had led the way on Tuesday morning for Team VERTU with a dominant dry-conditions run, only for heavy rain in the afternoon to hand Gordon Shedden the wet-weather honours.
