The 51st Severn Valley Stages made a welcome return to the British rallying calendar on 11 April, opening the 2026 Motorsport UK British Rally Championship season across the gravel forests of mid-Wales with close to 120 crews in attendance. Osian Pryce and co-driver James Morgan took a commanding victory on home soil in their Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, fending off the persistent challenge of Castrol MEM teammate Meirion Evans throughout a day of rapidly changing conditions that swung between sunshine, snow and driving rain. Garry Pearson and Hannah McKillop completed the overall podium in their Ford Fiesta Rally2, while Max McRae recovered from a puncture to take fourth despite showing the pace to challenge higher. In the Historic category, Marty McCormack and Barney Mitchell claimed back-to-back Fuchs British Historic Rally Championship wins in their crowd-pleasing BMW E30 M3.
